Standing still.....

Do you ever feel like your standing still in your life? Everyone around you is moving forward with life, going back to school, having kids, starting new jobs, traveling....... while you're doing the same old thing day after day: wake up, go to work, laundry, dishes, dinner! Well that is how I feel. I got passed over with my life and I don't know what happened. How do I catch back up with what I missed? Am I too passive and let other people and what they want decide what I want? How do I put myself first without hurting feelings? Soon I will get what my heart desires more than anything. I can feel it. God, give me the patience to wait for the right time, the time that you have decided is right for me to have a child.

View of Edinburgh from Edinburgh Castle

Jason and I decided to spend our currently child-free life in Scotland for the last week in 2009 and New Years Eve (Hogmanay per the Scots). Everyone has told us to take advantage of no kids and travel as much as we can now so we "flew over the pond" to stay with family in Edinburgh, Scotland. We had a blast. It snowed everyday we were there which is odd for Scotland but that didn't deter us from seeing the sights. We also attended a huge party with traditional scottish country dancing mixed in with current music hits.

Window into the life........

So, I got such a good response from my first ever Christmas letter that I decided to start a blog. Practically everyone I know has a blog, so I decided to try my hand at one and open a window into my life. It's sad but we seem to get so spread out after school, start families and lose touch with the ones who helped us get where we are today. I'll admit that I am the worst at keeping in touch but someone (bless you who ever you are) created blogs and facebook for those of us that need a passive way to communicate, ask for advice and just get general support during the stressful and hard times in life. So.... hope you enjoy this look into a PT (physical therapist) chick's life!
